This week we’ve reached another incredible milestone: 15 bed have been delivered to the San Luigi Hospital of Orbassano, one of the main structures dedicated to the fight to Covid-19 of the Turinese hinterland. This has been possible thanks to the intervention of Specchio dei tempi that has promptly ordered and delivered these furnitures in a very short time. These beds will be organized within the structure and will help expand the intensive care units of the area. Also, yesterday another CT scan has been donated and installed at the Martini Hospital of Turin (see photos below). This will be up and running in the next few days. 146 is the total number of furniture that up to today the Foundation has bought to help the sanitary structures.
On this same day we have continued to deliver different thousands of DPI materials. To be precise: half a million self-protection materials have been donated to over 60 sanitary structures. We’ve responded to the Mauriziano desperate cry for help by delivering 800 coats for doctors and nurses. Sant’Anna, Maria Vittoria, the Regina Margherita, the Green Cross of Turin, the Red Cross of Leinì and the Cottolengo are many other beneficiaries that have received DPIs from the Foundation.
Given this harsh time, we have also decided to increase the number of grocery bags up to 5500 bags. These are being delivered directly by our collaborators to avoid the elderly to leave their homes. These deliveries will continue also after Easter. In the meantime our subscription has reached 8.484.810€ thanks to the contribution of 12.170 donors. Another record!
